Shelly will bring Incurably Romantic to the Metropolitan Room for three nights, Today, October 30, Friday, October 31 and Today, Dec 4, accompanied by the superb David Shenton Trio.

Backstage with Peter LeDonne, which is now broadcasting from the legendary Patsy's Restaurant on 56th street, had Tony Award Winner lyricist and director Martin Charnin and his wife actress/singer Shelly Burch as guests on the show. Jamie deRoy was also on hand to give her suggestions for upcoming theater and cabaret events, one of which was Shelly Burch's appearing at the Metropolitan Room on Oct. 30, 31 and Dec. 4th A special treat was the appearance of owner/chef Sal Scognamillo on the program who presented the cast and crew of 970AM with loot bags containing some great Patsy's sauces. The hit romantic comedy Handle With Care, a Critics' Pick from the New York Times, which calls it 'A Hilarious and Heartwarming Romantic Comedy' that 'exudes gobs of comic energy and insight', will conclude its run at the Westside Theatre March 9, 2014, two weeks after its originally announced end date. The play, by Emmy Award nominee Jason Odell Williams is directed by Karen Carpenter ('Love, Loss and What I Wore'), will have played 112 performances including 15 previews.

The ASCAP Foundation will honor Tony Award-winning lyricist and director of Annie Martin Charnin with the first-ever ASCAP Foundation George M. Cohan Award at their 18th annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013. The invitation-only event, hosted by ASCAP Foundation President Paul Williams, will be held at the Allen Room, Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.
