Today (Tuesday 5 March), actors Sheila Atim and Giles Terera announced the nominations for the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard, which takes place on Sunday 7 April at the Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Jason Manford.

Ground-breaking new musical theatre event SIGNAL is taking over The Hospital Club's Oak Room for the fourth time. This free concert showcases some of the best and boldest new British musical theatre and since its first incarnation last December has presented over fifty world premieres of new musical theatre songs. Helped by a selection of West End performers and accompanied by a live house band, SIGNAL looks to showcase the breadth and talent of those currently developing new British musical theatre.

The Finborough Theatre completes the 150th birthday year of the Finborough Theatre building and moves into a new year with a three month season of plays embracing - as always - both unique rediscoveries and vibrant new writing. Our new season includes a rediscovered hit by one of the West End's most successful interwar female playwrights, a brand new play by one of the UK's most successful writer/directors, a modern classic on the plight of migrants fleeing persecution and genocide, and for one performance only, a new play with music performed in Scottish Gaelic.

The NT marks the 100th anniversary of the first women in the UK gaining the right to vote, with a series of rehearsed readings, talks and events, as well as a free exhibition in the Lyttelton Lounge. World-class directors Nadia Fall, Phyllida Lloyd, Jenny Sealey, Lyndsey Turner and Dawn Walton will bring to life five plays on themes of suffrage, courage and the fight for political equality in the UK and around the world.

This is another strand in Terry's Emilia arc, which will culminate in Morgan Lloyd Malcolm's new play about Shakespeare's 'Dark Lady', Emilia Bassano.
