Giraffes strut, birds swoop, gazelles leap - the entire Serengeti comes to life on stage each night in The Lion King. The Tony Award-winning musical adaptation of Disney's much-loved film transports audiences to a dazzling world of glorious colors, stunning effects and enchanting music to tell the story of Simba and his epic journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Following an intense workshop process, the new play Singin' All Night premieres as a staged reading presentation Off-Broadway at Roy Arias, 777 8th Ave (between 47th and 48th St) tomorrow.

After collaborating with David Rabe on their acclaimed revival of In the Boom Boom Room last month, Chain Theatre is turning its focus on developing a new play. Singin' All Night tells the story of an autistic African American teenager who has been accused of a horrific crime. Two young attorneys are broke, desperate and take his impossible case. But everything changes when they realize he can communicate through music. Join us for the WORLD PREMIERE reading/ workshop presentation of Singin' All Night written by Artistic Director Kirk Gostkowski. Chain Theatre will be performing a lightly staged reading of the new play as well as celebrating the 2017 Chain Theatre season. Talkback with creators and performers to follow presentation.

On Thursday, Dec 31, 2015, hundreds gathered for an uptown New Year's event for the ages -- An 'Off the Kuff' New Year's Eve blowout. The star-studded soiree was hosted by nationally recognized motivational speaker and engagement expert Shaun Derik and TV/film actor and Broadway performer Ephraim Sykes (Vinyl, Leave It On the Floor, Hamilton). Choreographer Amy Jordan's company, The Victory Dance Project, will celebrate its first anniversary this week with an evening of dance entitled People, Power and Possibility on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 7 pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street (at 9th Avenue). The evening will honor former Ailey star Principal Dancer Renee Robinson, who will receive the company's First Annual Artist for Peace Award and will feature five works choreographed by Jordan.

The Victory Dance Project will celebrate its first anniversary with an evening of dance entitled People, Power and Possibility on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 7 pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street (at 9th Avenue).  The performance will feature five works choreographed by Company Director Amy Jordan, including Big Fun, and the premiere of an excerpt from Thru the Looking Glass and Human Revolution, a contemporary ballet in five sections. Two performances will take place at the Ailey Citigroup Theater for an invited audience of producers, industry professionals, and guests.

Casting has been announced for the Los Angeles return engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Los Angeles' most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Hollywood Pantages stage from November 20, 2013 - January 12, 2014. The press opening night is Friday, November 22 at 8pm. The landmark musical will return to Los Angeles for the first time since its triumphant return engagement in November 2006, where the production played a sold-out run at Hollywood Pantages.
