It takes place immediately ahead of the eagerly awaited Special Preview of the film adaptation of the award-winning hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Elegies is a heartfelt collection of songs about the deaths of various people Finn has known, including some of his closest friends and family members. This work is a commentary on the rewards and woes of being part of a family, a group of friends, and a society in good times and bad. Although the show is all about death and dying, it's no sad trip down memory lane. Never morbid, Elegies is touching, funny, and ultimately buoyant; floating on the spirits of those who inhabit its songs.

Chicago Sinfonietta announced the date of its annual ball today. Titled 'One World. One Sound. Revelry!,' the concept strongly ties in to the 34th season theme. In a world composed of myriad languages, cultures, races and religions, nowhere does this rich tapestry show itself better than in Chicago. It is through the magic of a single sound that the world is truly united as one.

Celebrating 50 years, and the first full season under the artistic leadership of Gary L. Wasserman Artistic Director Yuval Sharon, Michigan Opera Theatre is poised to mount its first fully staged opera in nearly two years.

The first full production in its 2021-2022 season, the opera company will present Tazewell Thompson’s powerful opera, BLUE for two performances, September 11 & 12 both at 7PM at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre.

The popular event includes a cocktail reception, full orchestral performance with surprise guests, exciting live auction, and Bid-For-A-Cause. The annual ball is a large large source of funding for the organization's nationally acclaimed community and engagement programs and service initiatives that benefit thousands of individuals throughout the Chicagoland area each season.

Due to the size of the event, looking to welcome 55,000 visitors from 100 countries to the Jaarbeurs, Utrecht with 30,000 being from abroad, the government has deemed that it is ultimately not safe for this to currently happen, leaving the organiser with no choice but to postpone the sold out ASOT1000 Celebration Weekend from the original dates of 3 & 4 September 2021 until next year, on 18 & 19 February 2022.

Layton Williams and Roy Haylock (also known as Bianca Del Rio, winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”) will reprise their roles in the hit West End musical “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” when it makes its North American premiere at the Center Theatre Group / Ahmanson Theatre January 16 through February 20, 2022. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

It has been announced that the soundtrack for the movie adaptation of the West End hit Everybody's Talking About Jamie will be released on September 10th!

Last week, the international sensation WICKED became the first Broadway tour to resume performances in the U.S. following the pandemic shutdown. The musical celebrated its relaunch at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas on August 3 to a very excited audience.

Novelist Brandon Hobson lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he is assistant professor of English at New Mexico State University.  He also teaches at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe. Interdisciplinary artist Jessica Mehta, currently based in Exeter, England, is completing a PhD at the University of Exeter. She was recently awarded a 2021/2022 Fulbright U.S. Scholar award in Bangalore, India. Both Fellows are enrolled citizens of the Cherokee (Aniyunwiya) Nation.

Inspired by true events, Everybody's Talking About Jamie follows Jamie New (Harwood), a teenager from Sheffield, who dreams of life on stage.
