Holly Tandy Will Star In THE WIZARD OF OZ at Blackpool Opera House

Blackpool Winter Gardens announced that X- Factor sensation Holly Tandy will stepping into Dorothy's iconic ruby slippers in this year's unforgettable adventure, The Wizard of Oz at Blackpool Opera House alongside Radio Wave's Scott Gallagher as the Cowardly Lion from 07 Dec - 30 Dec.

Barefoot Shakespeare Company and Occupy Verona Presents ALL ONE FOREST

Barefoot Shakespeare Company ?and Occupy Verona ?are teaming up for "She Doth Persist," a season celebrating feminism and activism. First up is All One Forest, a new play that explores what happens when famous characters from Shakespeare's plays meet each other outside of their stories. All performances will be held at Summit Rock in Central Park and admission is free.

GRoW @ The Wallis Presents THE HITCH HIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams' much loved, absurdist and subversive satire, is presented in a vibrant, fast paced, gender-bending production directed by Madeleine Dahm, from Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17, 2018, including a Science Fiction Costume Night on June 16, at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in the Lovelace Studio Theater. After its first appearance as a radio play originally produced by BBC 4 Radio in 1978, Adams' work quickly became a worldwide cult classic celebrated for its sharp wit and ironic style. Dahm's version at The Wallis integrates puppetry, stylized movement, miniature sets and live music to bring the timely political satire to life.

Berenice Ave. The Access Performance, featuring audio description, open captioning and a Touch Tour is Sunday, June 3 at 4 p.m., with Industry Night Monday, June 4 at 8 p.m.

MRT Appoints New Director For Young Company, Its Professional Theatre Training Program For High School Students

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) invites high schools students to register for Young Company, a professional theatre training program and one of MRT's signature education initiatives. Will Rogers, a creative producer, director, and performer, will become the new director for the 2018-19 session. Guest teaching artists this year include MRT alums-playwright, director, and actor Vichet Chum (KNYUM) and fight choreographer Angie Jepson (The Villains' Supper Club)-as well as Los Angeles-based acting teacher Richard Liccardo.

BEE, A Startling New Drama Runs at HB Theater June 8th thru 24th

Due to popular demand, Steve Budd's What They Said About Love will transfer from The Marsh Berkeley to The Marsh San Francisco in July. In this absorbing solo show, which was the "Best of Fringe" winner for the 2016 San Francisco Fringe, Steve wonders why other people can-and why he can't-tie the knot. He sheds light on how people meet and make it to the altar, the push and pull of relationships, singles who can't seem to settle down, and more.

Agatha Christie'sTHE MIRROR CRACK'D To Be Adapted For The Stage For The First Time Ever In The UK

Wales Millennium Centre and Wiltshire Creative are thrilled to announce the first ever UK stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's much-loved Miss Marple thriller The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side. The Mirror Crack'd will be a European Premiere, opening at Salisbury Playhouse on 15 February before touring to Dublin, Cambridge and Cardiff. The Mirror Crack'd will have an Opening Night on 25 February.

'The Wizard of Oz: A Jazz Musical for All Ages,' presented by Harlem Repertory Theater (HRT) and Yip Harburg Foundation, will not close June 16. It has been extended through November 24, 2018 due to continuing and steady audience interest. The production has played since October 8, 2016 at Tato Laviera Theatre, 240 East 123rd Street (near 2nd Ave.), Manhattan, and has previously been extended five times.

Gamut Theatre Hosts Kidsfest Of Artsfest 2018

Gamut Theatre Group's Popcorn Hat Players will host KIDSFEST, the children's section of Artsfest of greater Harrisburg. The festival is held in  Riverfront Park May 26 and 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and May 28 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. KIDSFEST is located at the far end of Artsfest near the Market Street walking bridge.
