In just three short years, Buddy Holly set the music world on fire and forever changed the face and sound of rock and roll. BUDDY - THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, the musical that charts his meteoric climb, legendary adventures and tragic fall on the fateful day the music died, will open the 2016 Musical season at Bill Hanney's award-winning Theatre By The Sea (TBTS), playing from June 1 thru June 19, 2016.

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: Benjamin Eakeley: Broadway Swinger; Joe Iconis and Family with Betty Buckley; Cutting Edge Composers: 7th Edition; Lance Horne and Drew Brody with Beth Malone; and Amy Jo Jackson: I Want to Be Your Man.

Musical theater writer and rabble rouser Joe Iconis brings his unique mash-up of showtune cabaret and rock and roll jamboree back to Feinstein's/54 Below. Each performance features a different special guest performance. Kerry Butler joined the group on April 3, James Carpinello on April 10 and 17, and Betty Buckley will join in the fun on May 9, for the final show.

Rob Rokicki Headed 'BACK TO THE BEECH' with Joe Iconis and More

Rob Rokicki, award-winning composer of the Off-Broadway hit THE LIGHTNING THIEF, is bringing his brand of smart musical theatre rock to The Laurie Beechman Theatre for a one-night-only concert, 'Back to the Beech.' The show will feature Broadway friends and special guests on April 4 at 7 p.m.

THE SONGS OF TONY GREENLAW Set for Feinstein's/54 Below, 2/17

FEINSTEIN'S/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "The Songs of Tony Greenlaw" on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016.  Tony is a London-based American writer of New Musical Theatre who's new show, SKY NEWS: THE MUSICAL is currently making big waves across the pond in the UK.  As well as songs from this exciting new musical, the concert will mark the US and NYC debut of some of his best stand-alone songs, published in the UK by New Musical Songbook and Aria Entertainments.
