The 25th Annual EASTER BONNET COMPETITION raised $3,706,085, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 52 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced at this year's EASTER BONNET COMPETITION, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs and elaborate, custom-made bonnets from 17 of the participating shows. BroadwayWorld was of course on hand for the big event and brings you photo coverage below!

The Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS 25th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition has just wrapped at the Minskoff Theatre! The first acts were presented yesterday, April 25, with the show continuing today, Tuesday, April 26. The proceeds from the event will benefit BC/EFA.

Brooke Shields, the internationally-acclaimed model and film, television and Broadway star, headlined the Broadway in South Africa (BSA) charity event last night, October 28, in New York City. Shields, a constant supporter of children's causes, joined a host of Broadway and New York City artists in donating their time and talents to support BSA's efforts toward providing children, from South Africa's neediest communities, with necessary life skills through arts education. The event took place at The Box and featured an evening of songs, dance and many surprise, vaudeville-style variety acts, typical of late-night shows produced at the lower east side hotspot.

This very special one-time event will be held on Monday, April 12 at The Trocadero located at 1003 Arch Street Philadelphia, PA. Tickets are currently on sale for $25 including a post-performance reception with the cast.

Together they will perform an original song written by Ms. Bean entitled 'A Little Hope.' The event will take place at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street) on Monday, October 5th at 7:30pm.
