Rehearsals have begun for AMERINDA (American Indian Artists) Inc.'s production of William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, directed by Madeline Sayet (Mohegan, with new songs written by Ty Defoe (Oneida/Ojibwe), previews begin Dec 2nd. 

Broadway Across Canada announced today that individual tickets for the Winnipeg premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale Monday December 12 at 10am.

Maestro Luke Frazier and The American Pops Orchestra - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - will continue their all-star 2016-2017 season with Don't Rain on My Parade: 75 Years of Barbra Streisand on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 8:00 PM at The George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium (730 21st Street NW, Washington, DC).

Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway debut of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (The Piano Lesson, Seven Guitars, Gem of the Ocean), will begin previews Wednesday, December 28 ahead of a Thursday, January 19 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. Vermont's award-winning Weston Playhouse Theatre Company announces a blockbuster line-up for its 81st summer season, continuing its tradition of "celebrating the classics and nurturing the new."  Highlights include a 4-play MainStage season of Tony Award winners, 3 prestigious Vermont Premieres, and the long-awaited opening of its new second stage.

The Playwrights Realm welcomes back The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's debut play. The most recent addition is Kate Arrington, who will star alongside the original soccer team cast including Susannah Perkins, Lauren Patten (Fun Home), Jenna Dioguardi, Tedra Millan, Sarah Mezzanotte, Brenna Coates, Samia Finnerty, Midori Francis, and Lizzy Jutila.

Four stories of family, gender, female empowerment and migration comprise the projects supported by Sundance Institute's Theatre Program at its two-week Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), taking place December 4-18. Dedicated to the creation and development of new musical theatre work, the Lab's projects are cast individually, rehearsed daily and benefit from concentrated, uninterrupted time and resources.

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, December 2, 2016 and runs through Friday, December 23, 2016. The Lyric Stage Company of Boston announces cast and creative team for MURDER FOR TWO, with Book & Music by Joe Kinosian and Book & Lyrics by Kellen Blair. Directed by A. Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein recently announced that Keen's acclaimed new production of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick...BOOM! would play an extended run through December 18th. Beginning tonight, November 22nd, Lilli Cooper, seen on Broadway in Spring Awakening and Wicked, will take over the role of Susan.

Refuge Theatre Project has announced leadership changes and programming for its third season, according to company co-founder Ross Egan. Christopher Pazdernik, who directed and choreographed the company's breakout production of High Fidelity: The Musical in February 2016 and more recently directed the Chicago premiere of Wicked City by Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar for Chicago Theatre Workshop, has been named Artistic Director, a position previously held by Egan. Egan, who founded the company two years ago with Morgan Egan, will move to Executive Director, a new position. Morgan Egan will continue as Managing Director.
