According to Deadline, Tony winners Lindsay Mendez and Ruthie Ann Miles have both signed on to join the new drama pilot COURTHOUSE on CBS. Both are series regulars. Deadline shares that 'Mendez will play Sara, an ebullient, optimistic court reporter who has surprising hidden talents. A close friend to Emily, Sara hosts the Courthouse poker games and is a reliable source for gossip and courthouse intel. Miles will portray Sherri. As Lola's Judicial Assistant, Sherri is The Gatekeeper; she controls the schedule, the witness lists, the flow of paperwork — everything. She can make defendants sit in the lockup and wait all day for the next appearance, or she can find a way to get them in and out before her morning coffee gets cold. Efficient, pragmatic and armed with wickedly dry sense of humor, Sherri isn't thrilled she has to “train” Lola (Simone Missick) — a rookie judge.' 

As a part of the special concert series, Musical Mondays, Second Stage Theater has announced Adam Chanler-berat, Lawrence Clayton, Jennifer Damiano, Louis Hobson, Tamika Lawrence, Isaac Powell, Alice Ripley, Amy Spanger, J. Robert Spencer, Pearl Sun and Aaron Tveit will perform Next To Normal: A Concert Celebration.

Second Stage Theater will host its 40th Birthday Gala on Monday, May 6 at Hammerstein Ballroom (311 W 34th Street). In celebration of this milestone, Second Stage will honor 40 actors for their continued collaboration with the institution - from its first productions to today.

Producing Artistic Director Paige Price and Managing Director Emily Zeck announced PTC's slate for 2019-2020, their second producing season at the helm of the theatre. Powerful drama: still made in America. Lynn Nottage's 2017 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Sweat opens tonight in its Chicago premiere at Goodman Theatre. Ron OJ Parson directs the collision of race, class and friendship at a pivotal moment in America-hailed as 'extraordinarily moving' (The New York Times) and 'passionate and necessary...a masterful depiction of the forces that divide and conquer us' (Time Out New York). Sweat marks the fourth Nottage play to be produced at the Goodman, following Crumbs from the Table of Joy (2006), Ruined (a 2008 world-premiere Goodman commission that earned the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for Drama) and By the Way, Meet Vera Stark (2013). Ophira Eisenberg (host of NPR's "Ask Me Another") returns to Bucks County Playhouse for a one-night only performance on April 6 at 8 p.m. "Leaving A Mark" will also feature cameo performances from acclaimed storytellers Mike Albo and Michaela Murphy.
