Country music superstar Kellie Pickler will join forces with Nashville Ballet to perform at the organization's largest annual fundraising event, Ballet Ball 2014. This collaboration continues a tradition of combining ballet with Music City's finest musicians and artists.

Flashdance - The Musical, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, will run at the Community Center Theater from February 4 - 9, 2014, as part of California Musical Theatre's Broadway Sacramento series. With electrifying dance at its core, Flashdance - The Musical tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. When romance with her steel mill boss threatens to complicate her ambitions, Alex learns the meaning of love and its power to fuel the pursuit of her dream.

For the second year in a row year, two leaves tea company is delighted to announce that it has been recognized with an award at the North American Tea Championship. Last year, the company's Jasmine Petal green tea won a first place award in the 2012 Packaged Single-Service Class competition. This year, Paisley Brand Tea Organic Chai took second place in its category.

Stark Naked Theatre Company rings in the New Year with its 2nd annual New Year's Eve celebration hosted by Artistic Directors Philip Lehl and Kim Tobin. The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the national tour of Flashdance-The Musical from December 25, 2013 to January 19, 2014 in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. Directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys, Memphis, The Addams Family), Flashdance-The Musical features a book by Robert Cary and Tom Hedley (co-writer of the original screenplay with Joe Eszterhas) with music by Robbie Roth and lyrics by Robert Cary and Robbie Roth.
