Music, dance, laughter and juggling combine in the world premiere of Flings & Eros, a new vaudevillian romp by the internationally renowned Flying Karamazov Brothers at Merrimack Repertory Theatre; stage direction by Paul Magid. Performances begin Thursday, September 10 at 7:30PM, with Opening Night on Sunday, September 13 at 7PM, running through October 4. Subscriptions and individual tickets are on sale now.

Choice Theatricals, in association with T. Schreiber Studio will present an industry reading of Elizabeth S. Davis's new play, Crazy Head Space, directed by Gabriel Barre. Presentations will be on Thursday, August 20th at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Friday, August 21st at 1:00 PM at The Gloria Maddox Theater (151 W. 26th St., 7th Floor).

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) kicks off its 2009/2010 Season with the World Premiere of THE RETRIBUTIONISTS, a new play by Daniel Goldfarb (Modern Orthodox, Adam Baum and the Jew Movie). The production will begin previews on Friday, August 21 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, September 15 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, September 27 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

The Kite Runner, directed by David Ira Goldstein, plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from September 10 through October 3. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from October 8 through October 25.

Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS, Broadway's longest running play, is making headlines this week on both coasts.

The Third Annual Icicle Creek Theatre Festival (ICTF), based in Leavenworth, will re-mount two new works exclusively for Seattle audiences. The Central Heating Lab at ACT is thrilled to host staged readings of HIM by Daisy Foote on August 17, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. and The Jewel in the Manuscript by Rosemary Zibart on August 18, 2009 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 and available through ACT.

THE OJAI PLAYWRIGHTS CONFERENCE (OPC) is thrilled to announce its 2009 Season - 12th Annual program of playwrights, readings and symposiums. Features some of the most talented, established and up-and-coming playwrights writing today.

Local favorites, Seattle up-and-comers and a handful of well-known film and Broadway actors will take the stage for Seattle Repertory Theatre's 2009-10 season, the theatre announced today. The season opens Sept. 25 with tickets on sale August 25. Subscriptions are currently available.

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 28th season - a season of American stories - with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Fences, the sixth chapter of his groundbreaking ten-play cycle about the 20th century African-American experience. Kenny Leon (Radio Golf, Gem of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun), acclaimed director and Wilson's final collaborator before his death, returns to the Huntington to helm the production, which stars John Beasley (Two Trains Running, Jitney, 'Everwood').

The Z Space Studio announces the West Coast premiere of You Can't Get There From Here. Written and performed by Anne Galjour, and directed by Jayne Wenger, You Can't Get There From Here runs from Thursday September 10, 2009 - Sunday September 27, 2009 at Theatre Artaud, 450 Florida Street, San Francisco, CA. Press opening is September 10, 2009.

The production will run August 11 - September 13 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre (media night: Sunday August 16 at 7:00 pm). Sherwood's play Abe Lincoln in Illinois, directed by Sheila Daniels.
