Page 73 Productions And New Georges Present CREATURE 10/27-11/21

Page 73 Productions (Liz Jones and Asher Richelli, Executive Directors) and New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director) will present the world premiere of Heidi Schreck's riveting new play "Creature," directed by Leigh Silverman. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at the Ohio Theatre, 66 Wooster Street (between Spring and Broome Streets). Previews begin on Tuesday, October 27, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, November 2 at 7:00 p.m. Performances will run through November 21.

Due To Strong Ticket Sales Seattle Rep Extends THE 39 STEPS Thru 10/24

Due to strong advance sales, Seattle Repertory Theatre is adding five dates to the run of 'The 39 Steps.' The show opens in previews on Sept. 25 and will now run through Oct. 24. The new dates are Oct. 21, 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.

Martha Plimpton Guest Stars on CBS' 'The Good Wife' Tonight, 10/20

Stage star Martha Plimpton will make a guest appearance on CBS's The Good Wife tonight, October 20, in an episode entitled: Alicia and Will have 72 Hours to Prove that a Train Company, and Not the Engineers, is Responsible for a Freight Train Crash, and Secure the Widows their Husbands' Pensions. The episode airs on CBS at 10:00-11:00 PM, EST.

THE 39 STEPS Opens Seattle Rep's 2009-10 Season, Plays 9/25-10/18, Opens 9/30

Seattle Repertory Theatre partners with La Jolla Playhouse to present the recent Broadway hit 'The 39 Steps' for a limited engagement Sept. 25-Oct. 18, 2009 in the Bagley Wright Theatre. Opening night for the production is set for September 30. The play opens Seattle Rep's 2009-10 season.

Beasley, Dirden & More Star, Leon Directs Huntington Theatre's FENCES 9/11-10/11, Opens 9/16

The Huntington Theatre Company opens its 28th season - a season of American stories - with August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Fences, the sixth chapter of his groundbreaking ten-play cycle about the 20th century African-American experience. Kenny Leon (Radio Golf, Gem of the Ocean, A Raisin in the Sun), acclaimed director and Wilson's final collaborator before his death, returns to the Huntington to helm the production, which stars John Beasley (Two Trains Running, Jitney, 'Everwood').

Seattle Rep Presents OPUS, 10/30 - 12/6

Sex. Lies. Violins. A cast of all-Seattle actors dives into the passionate behind-the-scenes life of a fictional string quartet in Opus at Seattle Repertory Theatre. The play is inspired by violist-turned-playwright Michael Hollinger's own quartet experiences. Opus opens in previews Oct. 30 and plays through Dec. 6 in the intimate Leo K. Theatre.
