Miles G. Jackson to Star in MY NAME IS ASHER LEV at George Street Playhouse; Cast Announced!

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Aaron Posner's MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, which runs April 12 through May 1 at the New Brunswick theatre. Miles G. Jackson (4000 Miles) will portray the titular Jewish artist Asher Lev, who must be a painter despite his faith and the will of his family. Bob Ari (Frost/Nixon, GSP's Red) and Lena Kaminsky (Law & Order, GSP's The Pillowman) both return to George Street to round out the cast.  MY NAME IS ASHER LEV will be directed by George Street Playhouse Director of Education and Outreach, Jim Jack.

FIGHTING SHADOWS with Emmy Nominee Richard Cabral to Play Rosenthal Theater

 Jami Gertz in Association with Homeboy Industries and The Rosenthal Theater at Inner-City Arts are thrilled to present the world premiere of a new play with music, FIGHTING SHADOWS, co-written and performed by 2015 Emmy nominee Richard Cabral ("American Crime"), with musical collaboration by Rocio Mendoza and directed and co-written by Robert Egan.  FIGHTING SHADOWS will preview on Friday, April 15 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, April 16 at 7pm and run through Sunday, May 8 at the Rosenthal Theater at Inner City Arts, 720 Kohler Street in Los Angeles, 90021.

NCTC to Present West Coast Premiere of ON A CLEAR DAY

New Conservatory Theatre Center crowns its 2015-16 season with the West Coast premiere of a whimsical reimagining of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, the classic American musical featuring music by Burton Lane, lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner, and a new book by Peter Parnell, based on the original book by Lerner. This mesmerizing and enchanting new look at the classic musical is just your typical musical comedy - about hypnosis, a gay florist with commitment issues, a love triangle with a therapist, and past life as a 1940s chanteuse.

Phylicia Rashad Returns to The Public in HEAD OF PASSES, Beginning Tonight

The Public Theater presents the New York premiere of HEAD OF PASSES, written by TarellAlvin McCraney and directed by Tina Landau. Part of Oskar Eustis' 10th anniversary season, HEAD OF PASSES begins previews tonight, March 17, in the Newman Theater and runs through Sunday, April 17, with an official press opening on Monday, March 28.

Rubicon Theatre Extends THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE Through March 26

Rubicon Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that its critically acclaimed American premiere of THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE by Jethro Compton, adapted from the short story by Dorothy M. Johnson that also inspired the legendary John Ford 1962 film, will extend through Saturday, March 26 at the Rubicon Theatre, 1006 E. Main Street in Ventura. THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE is a classic tale of love, honor, ambition and revenge set against the backdrop of the American West.

City Theatre to Present Anna Ziegler's THE LAST MATCH

?City Theatre presents the Pittsburgh premiere of Anna Ziegler's tennis play, The Last Match. The production runs April 9 - May 15 in the Lester Hamburg Studio at City Theatre. It is directed by City Theatre Artistic Director, Tracy Brigden.

Berkeley Rep to Present West Coast Premiere of Zimmerman's TREASURE ISLAND

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the West Coast premiere of Treasure Island by Tony Award-winning director Mary Zimmerman. Berkeley Rep to Premiere of John Leguizamo's New Show 'LATIN HISTORY FOR DUMMIES'

Berkeley Rep announced today it will present the world premiere of John Leguizamo: Latin History for Dummies. Written and performed by Leguizamo and directed by Berkeley Rep's Michael Leibert Artistic Director Tony Taccone, this limited engagement will run Friday, July 1-Sunday, August 14 in the newly renovated Peet's Theatre. TeenTix Receives Nesholm Family Foundation Grant

TeenTix is the recipient of the two-year grant from the Nesholm Family Foundation totaling $50,000. TeenTix is a Seattle-based organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to the arts for all teens. The grant will help fund the initial phase of a five-year project called Teens Count: The Teen Audiences Knowledge Project.
