A survey conducted by 4Culture and 13 Washington state-based partner organizations finds that operating budgets for Washington's arts and culture sector will run out much earlier than anticipated. Of the 483 arts and culture organizations surveyed in Washington state, 75% report they will have depleted their operating budget by the end of November 2020.

Local activists like Michael Failla and members from the Seattle Men's Chorus are opening their hearts, homes and wallets by providing housing, furniture, job contracts, training and emotional support to LGBTQ individuals seeking asylum from the dangers in their Muslim-majority homelands. Ultimately, the Seattle community's efforts have brought nearly 90 brave refugees to Seattle and other cities in Europe and North America where their identity is not reviled and they don't live in fear.

Seattle Women's Pride 2017 kicked off National LGBT Pride Month by bringing in two Brooklyn based bands - Parlor Walls and Oracle Room - DJ Kristina Childs and a host of awards to local businesses. The event also raised $500 for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) by donating $5 from every VIP ticket to the respected organization.
