Seattle Women's Pride Continues Honored Tradition, Makes New Strides Image Seattle Women's Pride 2017 kicked off National LGBT Pride Month by bringing in two Brooklyn based bands - Parlor Walls and Oracle Room - DJ Kristina Childs and a host of awards to local businesses. The event also raised $500 for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) by donating $5 from every VIP ticket to the respected organization.

Seattle Women's Pride 2017 took place at Q Nightclub in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 5:30-9:30 p.m. More than 200 guests attended the event, along with another 49 in memoriam.

"We wanted to celebrate and honor the victims of the Pulse massacre by having them with us for Seattle Women's Pride this year," Seattle Women's Pride Producer Sarah Toce explained. "We coordinated with the Cal Anderson Pulse vigil organizers to carry their legacies throughout Seattle Pride month. Seattle Women's Pride was the first event post-vigil, so we posted their photos inside the club in hopes that they could finally finish that last dance."

In addition to the Pulse honor, other guests in attendance were celebrated, including Seattle Womxn Marching Forward (Luminary Award); Marination (Business Excellence Award); and Repair Revolution (Community Champion Award). The awards portion of the evening was presented in partnership with Eastside Total Health & Lactation.

Seattle Women's Pride 2017 was produced by The Seattle Lesbian with sponsorship by Eastside Total Health & Lactation, Bastyr Department of Midwifery, Seattle Storm, Fun Home the Musical, Seattle Pride, Seattle Sperm Bank, TomboyX, Lifelong, Family Equality Council, and Whidbey Island Realtor Alicia Dietrich. Additional support is presented by Seattle Men's Chorus, Seattle Women's Chorus, Seattle Gay News, Seattle Gay Scene, The Stranger, The Personal Stories Project, Olivia, Lesbians Who Tech, and Revry.
