Walnut Street Theatre welcomes back several Philly and Broadway talents for their glorious season opener.

Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 208th season with Rodgers and Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning romantic musical, SOUTH PACIFIC. Directed by Charles Abbott, with choreography by Michelle Gaudette, this production begins previews on September 6th, opens on September 14th and runs through October 23rd on the Walnut's Mainstage.

Theatre Philadelphia has announced the nominees for the 2016 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Tickets go on sale June 20 through the PACE Center website, parkerarts.org, or by calling the box office at 303-805-6800. 

Act II Playhouse's production of KISS ME, KATE is a show that is imbued with energy and full of delightful musical numbers. It has a sensational score by Cole Porter that will please audiences. This show, under the direction of Peter Reynolds and with the incredible choreography by Maggie Anderson, is a reminder of the timeless melodies of Porter and it has a cast that will entertain audiences. KISS ME, KATE at Act II Playhouse shines and will have members of the audience smiling from start to finish.

It's 'Too Darn Hot!' Act II Playhouse in Ambler presents the Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate, on stage from May 17-June 19, 2016. The classic musical comedy features a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues the 2015-2016 Season with the Neil Simon farce Rumors, running March 22-April 17.  Directed by Keith Baker, the ensemble cast features Bruce Graham, Leonard Haas, Eleanor Handley, Valerie Leonard, Sean Thompson, Jo Twiss, Danny Vaccaro, Jessica Wagner, and Paul Weagraff.

Creative Cauldron will premiere MONSTERS OF THE VILLA DIODATI, a new musical written by Stephen Gregory Smith and Matt Conner. The production will run from January 28th through February 21st, 2016 at ArtSpace Falls Church.  Press Night is Saturday, February 6th at 8:00 pm.

Bristol Riverside Theatre takes the chill of winter out of the air with its heartwarming holiday concert An American Christmas Songbook, running December 10-20, 2015. Music director Keith Baker and the BRT Concert Band present traditional carols and new arrangements of popular holiday songs sung by BRT favorites Philip Chaffin, Donata Cucinotta, Robert Farruggia, Jessica Gruver, Elyse Langley, Sean Thompson, and Dwayne Washington, joined by Cristina Lynn Farruggia making her BRT debut.

It's all for one and one for all as THE THREE MUSKETEERS ride into the Houston Family Arts Center (HFAC). Based on the classic novel by Alexander Dumas, Ken Ludwig has adapted this swashbuckling tale for the stage. The adventure begins today, March 20, 2015 and runs through April 12 in the Garza Mainstage Theatre.

With a new School and Dance Studio on State Street, The Media Theatre's educational opportunities have the opportunity to expand beyond the basic core of acting classes currently offered. As spring offers a sense of 'all things new', the professional music theatre has two new courses added to its curriculum for aspiring actors and singers.
