Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. An Evening of Classic Broadway comes to NYC's Metropolitan Room as a benefit for The Actors Fund on Tuesday, October 27th at 7PM. Tony Award-winner Daisy Eagan (THE SECRET GARDEN) and leading Broadway performer Sean McDermott join the line-up.  Michael Lavine serves as host and musical director.

Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? Today's big news: The Bessie Awards celebrate top dancers tonight, KILL FLOOR opens off-Broadway, and the creators/subjects of ON YOUR FEET! chat with Rita Moreno!

The Actors Fund, in association with Michael Childers, will present a one-night only special event, Tradition: The Jewish Legacy of Broadway, a celebration of the great Jewish composers, lyricists and performers who graced the stages of Broadway from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, on Monday, December 14 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street).   All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of The Actors Fund.

It all started with Marc Oka (an Original Broadway Cast member) who decided to try and gather members of the casts of MISS SAIGON for a reunion. He went to URBO (a fantastic restaurant, bar and venue, in the heart of Times Square) and Manager, Benjamin Ickies, who is also a musician, and BOOM ... the night was born.

With much excitement and clamor, Broadway's N'Kenge returns to Alphine Theatre Project in Montana to star in 'Chicago' as Matron 'Mama' Morton, the Witch in 'Big Fish,' and various roles in 'Ring of Fire.' All three productions will be running in rotating repertory from July 9 - August 1.

Back by popular demand after a sold-out, critically acclaimed performance on May 23rd, 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents a special encore performance of "Brady vs. Partridge: The Bardy Bunch." It's 1975 and the Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family are brought together on one cabaret stage by an accidental double booking. In a competition fiercer than when the Jackson 5 took on the Osmonds, the two television families will compete for your vote to win one precious prize. Enjoy Brady and Partridge hits, including "I Think I Love You," "It's A Sunshine Day," and "I Woke Up in Love This Morning," plus several classics from the 70s. This showcase of star-crossed love pairings and twisted sitcom charm stars the cast of Stephen Garvey's hit play "The Bardy Bunch: The War of the Families Partridge and Brady," directed by Jay Stern, with choreography by Lorna Ventura and music direction by Logan Medland. Featuring Sean McDermott (Miss Saigon, Falsettos), Kristy Cates (Wicked), and Lori Hammel (Mamma Mia).

On Monday, April 27th, the Metropolitan Room was packed with Broadway & Aspiring artists who shared new works and cheered each other on at the Broadway Artists & Friends Open Mic & Mingle. Hosted by JERSEY BOYS' Peter Gregus, audiences were treated to an up close look at singers trying out new songs & sharing their stories. The evening was intimate, joyful and full of opportunities for everyone involved to make invaluable industry connections. Emily McNamara, is set to host DUETS(S) with The Write Teacher(s) at 54 Below! McNamara has recently been seen onstage in The Chocolate Show, NEWSical the Musical, Motel Rasdell, and Little Shop of Horrors.  She has hosted and performed at theatres all over NYC, including, but not limited to 54 Below, Birdland Jazz,  Roseland Ballroom, Joe's Pub, Theatre Row, and The Duplex.
