Scott Zeiger, President and Managing Director just announced the new production of Cirque du Soleil -PARAMOUR, the organization's first created specifically for Broadway. Previews for this production will begin on Saturday, April 16, 2016 with an official opening set for Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Lyric Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

Cirque du Soleil just announced the creation of a new division, Cirque du Soleil Theatrical. Scott Zeiger, co-founding partner of BASE Entertainment, will serve as President and Managing Director of the new division. Zeiger will develop unique theatrical opportunities for Cirque du Soleil. Based on traditional theatrical practices, these new productions will be created using the Cirque du Soleil signature style and aesthetic but will provide a very different experience for Cirque du Soleil audiences. This new division will be based in New York City and will continue to promote Cirque du Soleil's on-going strategy of diversifying its content and live-entertainment activities worldwide.
According to an Equity casting notice, a New York City workshop will soon be held for DINER, a new musical inspired by the critically acclaimed 1982 film. With a book by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, the project will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. The workshop will be held December 2-13 at Pearl Studios.
