George Street Playhouse Announces Casting for Season-Opening MAMA'S BOY

George Street Playhouse today announced the cast of Rob Urbinati's Mama's Boy, which runs October 18 through November 6 at the New Brunswick theatre. Betsy Aidem (Broadway's All the Way, GSP's God of Carnage) stars as Marguerite Oswald, the headstrong mother of Lee Harvey Oswald, played by Michael Goldsmith (TV's Doctor Who, Gotham).

'What the Butler Saw,' a shameless comedy by Joe Orton, offering a little blackmail and a lot of sexual innuendo, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, now through September 10. On the platform - literally and figuratively - where many great dancers get their professional start, the stage was set for an evening of exploration and reflection through careful, composed movement.

? Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance will return this spring with new choreography and repertory for a two-night run at NYU/Tisch School of the Arts, Jack Crystal Theater, June 2-3 at 7:30pm. The production will feature Veiled, a new contemporary ballet for seven women inspired by Martin Bresnick's Prayers Remain Forever. Veiled will be one of three works presented each evening.

George Street Playhouse presents Aaron Posner's MY NAME IS ASHER LEV, which runs now through May 1 at the New Brunswick theatre. Miles G. Jackson (4000 Miles) portrays the titular Jewish artist Asher Lev, who must be a painter despite his faith and the will of his family. Bob Ari (Frost/Nixon, GSP's Red) and Lena Kaminsky (Law & Order, GSP's The Pillowman) both return to George Street to round out the cast. Philadelphia Theatre Company Gets Steamy with SEX WITH STRANGERS Today

Philadelphia Theatre Company's next production promises to excite with SEX WITH STRANGERS by Laura Eason, beginning today, April 8, where it will continue through May 8 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by David Saint, the production features Kyle Coffman as the young, brash writer Ethan Kane and JoAnna Rhinehart as novelist and teacher Olivia Lago.
