Just this morning, Something Rotten and Spotlight star Brian d'Arcy James along with this season's break-out and genuflecting sensation Jennifer Simard from Broadway's Disaster announced the The Outer Critics Circle nominees for the 2015-16 season from New York's legendary Algonquin Hotel (59 W 44th Street.)  Outer Critics Circle nominations are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season.

Born on February 14th, the actor/playwright is asking people to dedicate the 14th of every month to making people aware of everyday atrocities against girls.

Lupita Nyong'o stopped by today's "LIVE" today to talk with hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan about making her Broadway debut in ECLIPSED.

The 11th installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series, Broadway Sings Whitney Houston, in which a cast of 15 Broadway stars sang completely new arrangements of the legendary diva's greatest hits, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations, was held April 10 at Highline Ballroom. It's only appropriate that Tommy, who's committed to diversity and an int'l perspective in theater, is helming an Africa-set play that's Broadway's first ever whose writer, director and cast are all black women.

The starry lineup is complete for the 11th installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series, Broadway Sings Whitney Houston, in which a cast of 15 Broadway stars will sing completely new arrangements of the legendary diva's greatest hits, accompanied by a 14-piece orchestra playing original orchestrations. Joining the list of performers are Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple, 'Orange is the New Black'), Carly Hughes (Chicago), Mykal Kilgore (Book of Mormon, 'The Wiz Live!'), and Ciara Renee (Pippin, 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow').

Mayor Bill de Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray visited the all-female, multi-ethnic, history-making cast of Eclipsed backstage after Friday's performance at the John Golden Theatre on Broadway. They asked the actors how they decompress after performing. Lupita Nyong 'o described how they take time to commune together before every performance and then again, after the show.
