'NO END OF BLAME' and GOOD Start Tonight as Part of PTP/NYC's 30th Season

PTP/NYC (Potomac Theatre Project), in association with Middlebury College, presents its 30th repertory season, its 10th consecutive in New York City, running from tonight, July 5, through August 7, 2016 in a limited 5-week Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues.

Sam Steiner Awarded Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship 2016

Today, Paines Plough announce that the second Paines Plough Playwright Fellowship is awarded to Sam Steiner and that the recipient of the new Paines Plough and Birmingham Repertory Theatre Trainee Director bursary is Anna Himali Howard.

Soho Rep Sets 2016-17 Season

Soho Rep.'s 2016-17 season, announced today, comprises two ambitious new works-both characterized by inventive theatrical forms, holistic collaborations, and striking original music-along with an opportunity to get the first 'work-in-process' look at a new commission by a celebrated playwright.

4:48 PSYCHOSIS to Play Metanoia Theatre

British playwright Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psychosis will be presented on stage in Melbourne this June at the Metanoia Theatre, part of the Brunswick Mechanics Institute. Produced by new theatre company, Bare Naked Theatre, the production delves into the complex issues of clinical depression, self harm, dependency and isolation. Composed of 24 sections which have no specified setting or characters, the language of 4:48 Psychosis varies between the naturalistic and the highly abstract or poetic. The playwright herself dealt with issues of serious mental illness and committed suicide at 28 shortly after completing the work.

Sandra Oh, Hoon Lee & More Set for Sundance Institute's New MENA Play Development

Sundance Institute today announced the acting company, dramaturgs and creative advisors participating in its pilot Theatre Lab in the MENA region, including Sandra Oh, Hoon Lee, Deanna Dunagan, Hala Omran and Raeda Taha. The Lab, held in Morocco next month, is part of the Institute's international cultural exchange programs for independent artists and will kick off a new, multi-year commitment to support artists from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). For the Lab, the Institute will provide promising, fresh voices from the U.S. and MENA region with a rigorous artistic retreat and new opportunities for cross-cultural discovery, artistic reflection and creative experimentation.

off the WALL Sets 2016-17 Season

In keeping with their mission to champion gender equality in the theater, off the WALL productions at Carnegie Stage is excited to welcome two new members to their management staff.  Joining Artistic Director Virginia Wall Gruenert and Associate Artistic Director Erika Cuenca are Sara McCown as Managing Director, and Heidi Nagle as Operations & Production Manager.  Heidi will also continue serving as off the WALL's Resident Stage Manager.

Simon Stephens' HARPER REGAN to Play T. Schreiber Theatre, 5/4-6/4

On a bright autumn night in Manchester, a woman named Harper Regan walks away from her job, her home, her husband and her daughter.  The play named after her, 'Harper Regan' by English playwright Simon Stephens, stunningly reveals life on the cusp of the working class in modern British society. The author is the 2015 TONY Award-winner for best play ('The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time').  This 2008 play is a dramatic Odyssey navigating family, love and redemption.  T. Schreiber Theatre, 151 West 26th Street, will present the piece May 4 to June 4, directed by Terry Schreiber.
