A Christmas Story, The Musical and STOMP Out Bullying have announced the Grand Prize winner of their Anti-Bullying Writing Competition, Ahmed Shayef. A 7th Grader at M.S. 577 in Brooklyn, Ahmed has won a walk-on role in the Thursday evening, December 27 performance of A Christmas Story, The Musical.

This month, Gotham Early Music Scene (GEMS) will partner with Trinity Wall Street Church to present two concerts in Trinity's annual Twelfth Night Festival of Early Music, which runs from now through Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Tonight, December 20 through Sunday, December 23, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and the big jolly man himself reunite with the spectacular Rubicon Family Christmas cast for a joyous celebration at the Ventura College Theatre for seven performances only. The stellar cast includes Joan Almedilla, Teri Bibb, Dina Bennett, Trey Ellett, Anthony Manough and Brian Sutherland, who have starred on Broadway in such shows as Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, Jesus Christ Superstar, Miss Saigon, 1776 and Rent, among others. The Philadelphia Orchestra is gearing up for the holidays, and this season's line-up promises plenty of cheer for people of all ages-from classical music aficionados to traditional holiday music lovers alike. The most wonderful time of the year opens with three Glorious Sound of Christmas concerts, tonight, December 20-22; continues with Handel's Messiah, December 23; and concludes with the time-honored tradition of the Orchestra's annual New Year's Eve Concert on December 31, this year conducted by new Music Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin. All concerts take place in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center.

Kara Oates, the Greenwood girl who has gone from the Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre stage to Broadway to perform in two top shows, has now taken to the recording studio.

B. Someday Productions and Walking Fish Burlesque will present an adult holiday show, THE YOUNG ADVENTURES OF SANTA - A YULETIDE BURLESQUE! Written and directed by Stan Heleva. Runs tonight, December 19-31, 2012 at Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Tickets are $18, and can be purchased online and at the door.
