Lincoln Amphitheatre to Present SCROOGE'S CHRISTMAS, 12/14 & 21

By:

Lincoln Amphitheatre will present an adaptation of A Christmas Carol during the remaining two of the Santa Claus, Indiana, Celebration Christmas Saturdays.

The Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association, the managing nonprofit for the 1500-seat, Lincoln Amphitheatre, will produce a Christmas themed play in December.

Scrooge's Christmas, written and directed by A. Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale's playwright and director Ken Jones, is adapted from Charles Dickens' classic tale, A Christmas Carol.

"Scrooge's Christmas is a dynamic adaptation utilizing a company of actors, through multiple roles, telling the classic story. Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they teach him the true meaning of the Christmas Spirit," says Ken Jones, playwright and director for A.Lincoln: A Pioneer Tale and Scrooge's Christmas.

Jones added that audiences should expect humor mixed with drama of the entire A Christmas Carol story in a shortened one-hour production.

"It's a fun version of the story, and it's perfect for families," Jones says.

Since December weather tends to bring colder weather, the LBDA will host Scrooge's Christmas at the Heritage Hills High School Auditorium located one mile from Lincoln Amphitheatre and four miles from Holiday World & Splashin' Safari.

Lincoln Amphitheatre will present Ken Jones' Scrooge's Christmas live at the Heritage Hills High School Auditorium on December 14 and 21. Ticket prices are $10 a person for all ages and $8 a person for groups consisting of 10 or more individuals. All proceeds will benefit Lincoln Amphitheatre.

Guests may purchase tickets online at www.LincolnAmphitheatre.org, by phone at 800-264-4223, or at the door (Heritage Hills High School Auditorium).
