The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts Announces 2018-19 Season

The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, UC Davis announces its 17th season of performing arts, filled with the leading artists in music, dance and theater alongside a powerful group of speakers. The season begins on September 22, 2018, with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and concludes June 2, 2019, with the Alexander String Quartet and pianist Joyce Yang debuting a new work by composer Samuel Carl Adams.

Meany Center For The Performing Arts Announces 2018/19 Season

Meany Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Washington announces its 2018/19 Season, presenting 24 visionary artists and ensembles that are pushing artistic boundaries, blending genres and redefining the meaning of creative mastery. The lineup includes international artists and ensembles from thirteen countries and cultures, including India, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Italy, France, Mexico, South Korea, Ukraine, Canada, Taiwan, Colombia, Spain and the USA.

Go BEYOND with Ned Rothenberg & The Living Earth Show with Paul Dresher Electro-Acoustic Band, Today

On January 26 & 27 the Paul Dresher Electro-Acoustic Band premieres Ned Rothenberg's improvised concerto Beyond C, an Ensemble commission inspired by Terry Riley's In C. Beyond C features Rothenberg as improvising woodwind soloist and Joel Davel as conductor. For this evening concert entitled BEYOND The Living Earth Show will premier selections from Dennis Aman's 24 Preludes & Fugues for invented instruments (created during Aman's 2016 Dresher Ensemble Artists Residency).

Pianist Emanuel Ax, Violinist Leonidas Kavakos, And Cellist Yo-Yo Ma Collaborate at Carnegie Hall

Three world-renowned artists come together to perform Brahms's complete piano trios at Carnegie Hall on Thursday, February 22 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Pianist Emanuel Ax, violinist Leonidas Kavakos, and cellist Yo-Yo Ma present the three works chronologically, beginning with Piano Trios Nos. 2 and 3, and concluding with No. 1 While this final work was first written in 1854 when the composer was 20 years old, he revisited the score and premiered a new version in 1890. This later version, most commonly performed today, will be presented as the third piece on this program.

Chicago Symphony Orchestra Returns To Carnegie Hall

Boston Calling, one of the city's most iconic events and one of the world's largest metropolitan music festivals, announces its 2018 lineup today. The internationally acclaimed and locally grown music festival returns for its ninth edition and will take place for the second consecutive year at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston (65 North Harvard Street, Boston) on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 - 27, 2018. Headlined by Eminem, The Killers, and Jack White, Boston Calling 2018 will deliver over 54 performances from musicians, bands, and comedians across its three stages and the festival's indoor arena. The brewery's new construction expands the Sam Adams footprint in the historic Haffenreffer Brewery, a pre-Prohibition brewery originally built in 1871, with the addition of the Brewery Tap Room and a new Bier Keller for barrel-aging experimental beers.

The brewers at Samuel Adams today announced the 10th release of Samuel Adams Utopias, the craft beer community's most renowned and sought-after extreme barrel-aged beer. While Sam Adams pioneered the practice of barrel-aging, now a mainstay for American craft brewers, the brewers continually push the brewing and barrel-aging limit with proprietary brewing techniques to create Utopias, a beer unlike any other in the U.S. To create this year's one-of-a-kind vintage, the 2017 recipe includes Utopias aged in a variety of barrels including new Scandinavian Aquavit barrels as well as a portion of the final blend aged in Moscat barrels, a first for the beer.

From garages and kitchens, to craft breweries across America, Samuel Adams is giving brewers around the country a chance to turn up the heat on their mash. During this years' Great American Beer Festival (GABF), Samuel Adams announced homebrewer Ronnie Lawson of Austin, TX as the overall winner of the 2017 LongShot American Homebrew Contest and Peter Malikowski of Hampden, ME and Justin Greer of Royal Oak, MD as the runners up. The brewers also announced that Timothy and Dali Parker from Chula Vista Brewery in Chula Vista, CA won the 2018 Brewing & Business Experienceship as part of the Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream (BTAD) program.
