The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has opened the 2017 2018 Black Box season with The Foreigner, directed by Geoffrey Kent. The Foreigner, by Larry Shue, earned two Obie Awards and two Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best New American Play and Best Off-Broadway Production when first produced in 1984. The play, a farce filled with comic surprise, has become a staple of both professional and amateur theatre. The 2017 2018 Arvada Center Theatre Season is sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center.

Since its premiere in 1982, 'Noises Off' has become one of the most popular plays in the English language. The feverishly paced, hilarious door slamming comedy will be presented by the Fine Arts Center Theatre Company from September 26 through October 20, 2013 in the SaGaJi Theatre.
We all know death can strike any place any time, often coming as a most unwelcome surprise. In the greatest play of the Middle Ages, Death comes to Everyman when he's least expecting it, and tells him to get ready for the trip of his life. 600 years later Death is still coming to every man, and in the THEATREWORKS revival of the play, Everyman will get his bad news on a city bus leaving from downtown Colorado Springs. He won't be travelling alone: 35 audience members will be joining him for the ride of his lifetime. Everyman on a Bus plays Wednesdays through Sundays, February 21-March 17, with two performances each night.

The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run Oct 18 - Dec 28, 2012. Performances are 10 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website. How I Became a Pirate is recommended for ages four and up. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating.
