Shakespeare & Company Artistic Director Tony Simotes announces the benefit performance of Broadway in the Berkshires that will take place on Monday, July 8th at The Tina Packer Playhouse, 70 Kemble Street, Lenox, MA.
ELF's most recent Broadway engagement closed at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on January 6, 2013, and according to an Equity casting notice, the show will be back for this holiday season. NETworks Presentations will launch a national tour on November 5. Venues have not yet been announced, but the production will feature direction by Sam Scalamoni and choreography by Connor Gallagher.

The young performers between the ages of 5 and 12 will include Nora Austin, Pippa Austin, Gavin Burkheimer, Eleanora Dane, Izzy Dane, Roseanna Dane, Nathaniel James, August McLaughlin, Sylvia Polansky, Will Scheffler, Maura Tarnowski and Annika Urness.

Skyline Theatre Company was founded in 1995 by a group of professional artist living in Northern New Jersey to bring quality theater to Bergen County. Managing Artistic Director Sam Scalamoni has worked as Associate Director on Broadway's Lestat and Beauty & The Beast as well as numerous other New York shows. He has directed many of the shows for Skyline and starts their latest season with the hit musical CABARET.

Producer and Company member, Deborah Grausman (actor and founder of Berkshire Musical Theater Workshop) assembled an all-star cast and first-rate creative team for this spectacular, one-night event. Broadway's Chip Zien (Into the Woods-the original Baker, Les Miserables, The Country Girl, People in The Picture, Falsettos, Grand Hotel, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Boys from Syracuse, etc.) was the host. Director Sam Scalamoni (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Lestat) and Music Director Paul Staroba (A L ittle Night Music, Next to Normal , Grey Gardens ) headed up the creative team.

Skyline Theatre Company is announcing another year of giving back. High school seniors in Bergen County have the opportunity to get a little help as they move on to their college career. Skyline is continuing to offer a $1000.00 cash scholarship to support Bergen County students who will be furthering their education majoring in theatre, television, film, or communications. The Harry K. Berkheiser Jr. Scholarship, named for New Jersey educator and founding STC member Harry K. Berkheiser Jr., will be awarded yearly to a Bergen County High School senior who has a true passion for, and will be furthering their higher education in, one of these art forms. Any Bergen County senior majoring in theatre, television, film or communications may submit an application, found on the STC web site, www.skylinetheatrecompany.org. The deadline for all applications is March 15, 2011.
Nickelodeon and Broadway Across America bring Storytime Live! to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for six performances October 30 and 31. In the midst of a 70-city United States tour, Storytime Live! is the first-ever live family theatrical tour featuring characters from four of the current top-rated preschool shows on television: Dora the Explorer, The Backyardigans, The Wonder Pets! and Ni Hao, Kai-lan. Preschoolers and their parents can see their favorite Nick Jr. characters come to life in one action-packed on-stage adventure hosted by Nick Jr.'s Moose A. Moose and Zee.
