TVline reports that Chris Carmack, who appeared in the freshman season of ABC's NASHVILLE, has been promoted to a series regular.

Ford's Theatre Society will host its annual gala tonight, June 2, 2013, at Ford's Theatre (511 10th Street NW) followed by a seated dinner at the National Portrait Gallery and Smithsonian American Art Museum (750 Ninth Street NW). The evening will include the presentation of the Lincoln Medal to former Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice and Basketball Hall of Fame honoree Bill Russell, two individuals whose extraordinary character, accomplishments and work reflect Lincoln's legacy of leadership, service, humanity, wisdom, eloquence and vision.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has renewed Nashville for a second season. The country music drama stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. The series, which kicked off last November, is currently averaging 6 million total viewers.

THE MUSIC OF NASHVILLE (SEASON I, VOLUME 2) will be released today, May 7 on Big Machine Records.

ABC announced today that the acclaimed country star will officially appear on NASHVILLE's season finale, set to air on May 22. Paisley will play himself in the episode, in which he will perform with Connie Britton and Charles Esten.

On NASHVILLE's upcoming episode, titled 'Take These Chains from My Heart,' Liam invites Rayna to run away with him to finish her album, and Deacon is surprised by his own reaction, as well as Stacy's accusations; Jolene warns Juliette about Dante's loyalty, which only drives the two women further apart; Teddy faces off with Peggy about the leaks, and in the wake of her father's illness, Tandy proposes a new alliance to Coleman.
