The Lyric Stage Company of Boston's 2015-16 Season continues today, April 8 with MR. BURNS, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn, with a score by Michael Friedman and lyrics by Anne Washburn. Directed by A. Nora Long, the production also features music director Allyssa Jones and choreographer Yo-El Cassell. MR. BURNS runs through May 7, 2016, with the official opening slated for April 10.

Monday, April 4th, was the opening night of Playwrights Horizons new play ANTLIA PNEUMATICA, written by Anne Washburn.  Directed by two-time Obie Award winner Ken Rus Schmoll, the play is the fifth production of Playwrights Horizons' 2015/2016 Season.

The Civilians' original cabaret series is back at Joe's Pub on Saturday, May 17th at 7:00pm with Let Me Ascertain You: F*cking & Dying. This one night event will explore what happens when death and sex fixations collide. This unique cabaret of original songs and monologues looks at the duality of human nature and our competing sex and death drives, or to get Freudian, Eros vs. Thanatos. Hear some of New York's hottest downtown performers and musicians reveal tales of morbid curiosities and dirty secrets on the path to nirvana.

Tony Award-winner Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed) is set to host the Spring Benefit for the Off-Broadway theatre company Page 73 Productions on Friday, April 25, at City Winery, 155 Varick Street. The evening's festivities begin at 7:00pm and include dinner, cocktails (including specialty cocktail "The Clare Barron" in honor of the 2014 P73 Playwriting Fellow) and the annual New Play Bake Off.

Playwrights Horizons World Premiere production of The Patron Saint of Sea Monsters, a new play by Blackburn Prize winner Marlane Meyer (The Chemistry of Change and Moe's Lucky Seven for PH; Etta Jenks), will play a limited engagement through Sunday evening, December 1 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). Renowned investigative theatre company The Civilians celebrates its 2011-2012 season with the presentation of its first ever Civilian of the Year Award. The Civilians will honor Robert Hammond, co-founder of The High Line, at its 2012 Benefit tonight, April 23rd, at the Highline Ballroom. Hammond will be feted by the company's Associate Artists as well as additional stage and screen stars in a one-night-only performance of interviews and songs by Michael J. Friedman (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) about Hammond and the creation of The High Line, put together in The Civilians' signature investigative style. Interviewees for this unique performance include Amanda Burden (Director of the Department of City Planning), Florent Morellet (Restaurant Owner), and Bronson Van Wyck (Event Planner).
