The first image of the the Musical family has today been released, as full casting for Kay Mellor's new musical is unveiled. 

Theatre Blogger West End Wilma is delighted to announce that voting is open for the fourth annual West End Wilma Awards (this year in association with Free@Last TV Ltd), which will take place on Friday 3 November, 2pm at London's Delfont Room (Prince of Wales Theatre).

A trio of the singing stars of tomorrow are heading to Liverpool next weekend to take part in a special family festival.

Emmerdale and The Royal star Natalie Anderson will join the cast of Fat Friends - The Musical. Natalie has appeared in numerous other television programmes including Wire in the Blood and The Biz.

Sam Bailey (X Factor, Chicago) and Jodie Prenger (I'd Do Anything, Shirley Valentine) star alongside Former England cricket captain, and star of Sky's League of Their Own, Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff in Fat Friends - The Musical at the Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield from Mon 12 - Sat 17 February. Tickets go on sale to members on Sat 8 July and on general sale on Sat 15 July.

Flashdance - The Musical returns to the UK for the first time since 2011 starring Strictly favourite Joanne Clifton and singer-songwriter Ben Adams, and will arrive at Glasgow King's Theatre on 05 August 2017 prior to an extensive UK tour.

Former England cricket captain, and star of SKY's League of Their Own, Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff will swap the cricket pitch to tread the boards as he joins an all star cast for the world premiere of Kay Mellor's Fat Friends - the Musical.

Number one recording artist Sam Bailey, who rose to fame winning the tenth series of The X Factor, will join the previously announced Jodie Prenger in the original British musical Fat Friends - The Musical. Sam will share the much loved role of Betty, originated on screen by Alison Steadman, with award-winning comedian and actress Elaine C Smith (Two Doors Down, Rab C Nesbitt). Elaine will step into the role during three Scottish dates in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. 

On March 4, Target First Today celebrates Women's History Month with a multiplicity of women and female-identified voices, stories, and experiences. Highlights include music by Charlotte Dos Santos and Buscabulla; a party with #SoulInTheHorn and Natasha Diggs; and a tour of the new exhibition Georgia O'Keeffe: Living Modern.

Curve today announces casting for their Christmas production of the hit musical Grease. Dex Lee and Jessica Paul lead the cast as Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski with Keisha Atwell, Darren Bennett, Sophie Camble, Jonny Fines, Courtney George, Luke George, Shobna Gulati, Patrick Harper, Abigayle Honeywill, Sophie Isaacs, Max Jorquera, Sinead Kenny, Nathanael Landskroner, Michael Lin, Martin McCarthy, Sam Murphy, Djalenga Scott, Justin Thomas and Natalie Woods completing the company. The production opens on 1 December, with previews from 26 November, and runs until 14 January.

Inspired by writer and director Sam Bailey's own personal history, and created by Parrot in the Tank in collaboration with Barrel Organ's Joe Boylan, Gaulier graduate Andrea Foa and actor and filmmaker Kyle Shephard, BLACK DOG GOLD FISH explores the repercussions of clinical depression on day to day life, spinning the story of one troubled aquarium employee as he tries to liberate the captive fish back into the sea. In spite of his best efforts he accidentally punches one of the fish to death and is thrown face to face with his own Black Dog; a goldfish with a silver tongue.

Full casting has been announced for the international award-winning musical CHICAGO, which opens a national tour at the New Theatre Oxford on Friday 12 February 2016. Joining the previously announced John Partridge as Billy Flynn, Hayley Tamaddon as Roxie Hart and Sam Bailey as Mama Morton will be Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Neil Ditt as Amos Hart and A.D.
