'Hit at the Hot Spot', is the title of the current offering, at St. Petersburg Nights, the 'only Russian restaurant and lounge in Tampa Bay.' I assure you, this is certainly a 'one of a kind' venue and show.
The holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman continue their renowned tradition of high fantasy and captivating storytelling. The 2012 windows, entitled "BG Follies of 2012," are inspired by the lavish performances of American popular entertainment of the 1920's and 30's-- the Jazz Age. The windows evoke the glorious era of Art Deco theater palaces re-creating the sumptuous atmosphere of the Ziegfeld Follies, the verve of Busby Berkeley's Hollywood musicals, and the bounce of Vaudeville revues. David Hoey, Senior Director of Visual Presentation and his team devote an entire year to the production of the holiday windows. The windows will officially unveil on Monday, November 19th with one preview window Friday, November 16th. They will remain on display through Thursday, January 3, 2013.

HAIRSPRAY then traveled across town to perform at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., for three performances only, ending today, November 4. Legendary Latin/jazz percussionist Jack 'Mr. Bongo' Costanzo has only performed twice in New York City in the last 60 years--once at Carnegie Hall in 1948 and once at the famed Basin Street East in 1961--but he'll make a rare NYC appearance October 30 at The Iridium to perform with cabaret favorite Terese Genecco & Her Little Big Band featuring Ricky Ritzel. THIRTEEN's Great Performances will present 12-year-old classical crossover prodigy Jackie Evancho's second television special Jackie Evancho: Music of the Movies, in August on PBS (check local listings). (In New York, THIRTEEN will premiere the special on Saturday, August 11 at 7:30 p.m., with an encore telecast Tuesday, August 14 at 8 p.m.)
