Signature Theatre Extends THE PAINTED ROCKS AT REVOLVER CREEK

Signature Theatre has announced a second one week extension for the world premiere of The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek, written and directed by Athol Fugard. The production, which opened on Monday, May 11 and already extended once through June 7, will now run through June 14 in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Signature Theatre has announced casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek, written and directed by Athol Fugard. The production runs April 21 to May 31 with a May 11 opening night in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). Today, January 3, artists from the exhibition Crossing Brooklyn: Art from Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and Beyond take over Target First Saturday with a special curated evening of music, comedy, and performances. Highlights include music by Grammy Award-winning collective Snarky Puppy; Greg Barris's comedy showcase Heart of Darkness, featuring comedian Janeane Garofalo; and a performance by Chop and Quench, comprised of members of the cast and band of the musical Fela!.

Broadway Actor Sahr Ngaujah to Co-Host 2014 African Diaspora Awards

Applause Africa, a multimedia platform that aims to celebrate, empower and connect the people, culture and visions of Africans in the Diaspora, announced today the 2014 Honorees for the AFRICAN DIASPORA AWARDS. The 4th Annual ADA Awards will be held on November 15 at Lincoln Center's Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. The Red Carpet and cocktail reception begin at 6:00PM, followed by the awards show at 7:00PM.
