Beowulf Alley Theatre, 11 South 6th Avenue, begins the new season with the Tony Award- nominated, Arizona premiere of SHINING CITY by Conor McPherson. Preview is Friday, September 10th with Opening Night on Saturday, September 11th and will run until the 26th. They will be a reception after opening and a post-show discussion on the 12th. The 6th Annual Minnesota SAGE Awards for Dance recognized 11 people connected to Minnesota's dance community at ceremonies held on Tuesday, September 14, at the Southern Theater. Attendees at the vibrant evening celebration included Twin Cities dance artists, administrators, patrons and supporters.

Minnesota's dance community will gather Tuesday, September 14, 2010, for an evening of award-winning performances and celebration to honor outstanding achievements in dance for 2009/10. The 6th annual SAGE Awards for Dance will recognize artists whose work represents a variety of forms and styles, transcends expectations and reflects our times. Mary Ellen Childs, a past SAGE recipient, will host this year's gala event at the Southern Theater.
