Olivier Award-winner Ruthie Henshall has announced through her website a special UK fall tour. 'Sounds Of Hollywood' is a salute to the golden age of movie musicals and popular screen hits. Henshell will perform a series of tunes, including 'There's No Business Like Show Business,' 'Wouldn't It Be Loverly,' 'People,' 'Don't Rain on My Parade,' 'Anything You Can Do,' 'The Man That Got Away,' and 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' from such musical films as 'My Fair Lady,' 'Funny Girl,' and 'A Star is Born.'

The production will feature Tony Award nominee Felicia P. Fields (The Color Purple) in her first role in Chicago since The Color Purple and two-time Jeff Award-winner Mississippi Charles Bevel. The production will be directed by Randal Myler with musical direction by Dan Wheetman. Low Down Dirty Blues runs May 27 - July 3, 2010 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS) will hold auditions for Ensemble Arts production of THE FANTASTICKS on Saturday, June 19 at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre, 177 Sala Avenue in Westwego, beginning at noon. Auditioners should bring a headshot, resume and sheet music and prepare 16 bars (you may be asked to sing more) of a musical theatre song and a 1 minute upbeat/comedic monologue. An accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should come prepared to move.
