BWW Review: Syracuse University Department of Drama Presents an Intoxicating Production of THE WILD PARTY

The music, the lyrics, the story, and the characters - every element of Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party is very intense and intriguing. This production, presented by the Syracuse University Department of Drama at Syracuse Stage, doesn't hold back either. Set in the Jazz Age of the Roaring '20s, this production features a stellar cast, impressive set and lighting design by Alex Koziara, and meticulously detailed direction by Katherine McGerr. The spot-on choreography by Andrea Leigh-Smith and the powerhouse performances of the entire cast take center stage in this wild performance of Lippa's The Wild Party.

Epic Beard Men Release THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN Today & Launch U.S. Tour Next Week

This Was Supposed to Be Fun, the debut LP (and second official offering) from EPIC BEARD MEN, is an indie-rap tour de force by two of the underground's finest; Sage Francis and B. Dolan. This album knocks. It parties with disreputable outlaws in truck stops. It blends the classic sounds of breakbeats and timeless drum machines with soul grooves and sub bass. Guitars, violins, and a goddamn brass band have sat in before the party's over. On the vocal side of things, more than a few lyrical heavyweights drop in to take their turn on the mics.

Patty Griffin Announces New Headline Dates

GRAMMY® Award winning artist Patty Griffin has announced a new series of North American live dates celebrating her acclaimed new album. The newly announced headline shows begin June 4 at Lubbock, TX's Cactus Theatre and then travel through the month, with highlights including a three-night-stand at Park City, UT's Egyptian Theatre on June 19, 20, and 21. Singer-Songwriter Tony Lucca To Release New Album Tomorrow

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca is flexing his Americana muscles on his forthcoming new album,Ain't No Storm, which he will be releasing on March 29, 2019.  Ain't No Storm reads like a who's who of East Nashville notables: Ken Coomer produced the record at his studio, Cartoon Moon, great Nashville players like Michael Webb, Ted Pecchio, and Joe Garcia lent their talents — and even Patrick Sweany stopped in for a cameo on “Room With A View.” Replete with songs borne of his admiration for Nashville's rich history – the town's creative community ultimately fueled Lucca's return to the studio and inspired the new album – Ain't No Storm finds Lucca embracing with reverence the process and craft of songwriting and taking his time (more than two years) to get it right.

Raue Center Announces Enhanced Educational Offerings

Raue Center For The Arts is excited to announce it will be tripling its offerings for area youth in 2019 - 2020.
