Yesterday, May 15, the 2011 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards were held at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU. The Fred & Adele Astaire Awards afe the only awards to recognize excellence in dance & choreography on Broadway and in film. Last night, May 9, Daniel Radcliffe sat down with Jordan Roth at the 92nd Street Y to talk about the end of Harry Potter, How to Succeed in Business and, yes, the elephant on the Great White Way: his Tony nomination snub. As reported in Entertainment Weekly, when asked about his initial feelings towards being left off the Tony list, Radcliffe - ever the showman - reportedly responded: 'The thing that shocked me was everybody else's reaction to me, and how they started treating me - because it was like I lost a relative,' said Radcliffe. 'In my opinion, it was sweet, but over the top. People would ask me, ‘Are you OK?' And I'd go, ‘I'm really OK!'...The people that do this job for awards and recognition are kind of worshiping at the wrong altar, and I'm not really quite sure if I want to know those people.'

According to the Evening Standard, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has made the list of 'Richest actors Under 30,' with his net worth at £48 million. Joining him on the list are Emma Wtson, Robert Pattinson, and Keira Knightley.

As recently announced, this years competing shows for the 'Best Revial of a Musical' Tony Award will make television appearances next week. The Tony nominated cast of Broadway's 'Anything Goes' will perform May 12 on ABC's 'The View' (11:00 a.m., ET). This July, two hundred apprentices from all over the country (as well as the UK and Canada) will head to the University of South Florida to participate in Broadway Theatre Project, an intense three-week training session in all things musical theatre. The apprentices, who range in age from 16-24, are taught acting, singing and dancing by industry professionals who have appeared on Broadway, in television and in major motion pictures. Tampa Bay-area alums who are now faculty members and will be returning to teach this summer (schedules permitting) include: Kelly King, currently the dance captain of the Radio City Rockettes, Monica Raymund, currently appearing in the TV show Lie to Me on Fox and Patrick Wilson, whose latest film Insidious is currently in theatres nationwide.

The 50th Anniversary production of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, starring Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette, will get a new cast recording from Decca Broadway. The album, produced by five-time Grammy nominee Robert Sher, was recorded by the cast and orchestra on Monday, April 11 at the legendary Manhattan Center in New York City and will be released on iTunes Tuesday, May 24 and in stores on Tuesday, June 7.
