CLONED! Set for NYMF, 7/7-15

THE NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL and SPIEGEL AND WOLPOW PARTNERSHIP have announced the world premiere production of CLONED!, winner of The New York Musical Theatre Festival's 2013 Developmental Reading Award, an Official Selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Link Project and a Grand Jury Selection of the 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival, with book by Jacey Powers (Picking Up - DR2 Theater) & Dan Wolpow (Keepers: A Broadway Benefit at Studio 54), lyrics by Dan Wolpow, music by Adam Spiegel (Camp Rolling Hills - 2013 NYMF Next Link Project Finalist), choreographed by Ryan Kasprzak° (TV: Smash, So You Think You Can Dance; Tour: Billy Elliot; NYMF: Volleygirls), musical direction by Julianne Merrill° and directed by Tom Wojtunik° (Children of Eden - NY IT Award Outstanding Musical; Urinetown - NY IT Award Outstanding Musical; The Miss Education of Jenna Bush - FringeNYC Best Solo Show & Audience Favorite; Edenville - NY IT Award Nominee Best Director; NYMF: The Groove Factory).

Queens Theatre & Parallel Exit to Present EXIT STAGE LEFT, 12/27-29

Queens Theatre (QT), in conjunction with two-time Drama Desk Nominee Parallel Exit, presents EXIT STAGE LEFT, a rollicking speed-of-light comedy. EXIT STAGE LEFT will play six performances only at Queens Theatre (14 United Nations Avenue South, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY 11368). Performances are December 27th through December 29th at 2pm and 7pm. UnsungMusicalsCo. (UMC) will launch its fifth anniversary celebration with a new Off-Broadway production of the 1950 musical revue Bless You All! with sketches by Emmy Award winner Arnold Auerbach ('The Phil Silvers Show,' Call Me Mister) and a score by acclaimed songwriter Harold Rome (Fanny, Destry Rides Again). Directed by UMC artistic director Ben West (The Fig Leaves Are Falling, At Home Abroad), the limited three-week engagement will run today, Sep 19 - Oct 5 at The Connelly Theatre (220 East 4th Street), officially opening September 22.

Merrill, and directed by Tom Wojtunik. After playing to sold-out audiences and receiving critical acclaim, such as John Simon remarking, 'A tasteful revival of a worthwhile show, which you will want to catch whether or not you have seen the musical before,' BLOOD BROTHERS will extend a week at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (30-44 Crescent St, Astoria, NY 11102. The West Side YMCA's Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater will present its 3rd annual benefit cabaret, Little Theater, Big Dreams tonight, May 13th at 7PM. The Off-Broadway hidden gem, located inside the historic West Side Y, will play host to powerful performances from Broadway's brightest up-and-coming stars alongside their own Kids Company, a group of young (6-14 year old) triple-threats-in-training. All proceeds will benefit the on-going youth theatre programs supported by the Y's Strong Kids Campaign.

New Work by Broadway's John Selya, Brooke Wendle and More Set for BC Beat at Cielo, 5/6

As a catalyst for professional development between choreographers, directors, producers and creative team members, BC Beat provides a platform for curious and innovative theatrical choreographers to share story driven work in an inspired environment of heightened energy and intimate support. In just two years since its premiere in the spring of 2011, BC Beat has created a family of 32 choreographers, each with a unique tie to Broadway and a dedication to developing theatrical work, including Stephen Hoggett (choreographer of Tony Award winning Once), Camille A. Brown (Camille A. Brown & Dancers, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater), Al Blackstone (Capezio Award Winning Choreographer), Jon Rua (Assistant Choreographer In the Heights, Bring It On the Musical, Hands on a Hard Body), Cherice Barton (Associate Choreographer of Spiderman), and Richard Hinds (Associate Director of Newsies).

The Performing Arts Project Presents the New York Series Dance Intensive, an exciting full day of dance classes with the Tony Award-winning choreographer of Newsies, Christopher Gattelli, Assistant Choreographer of Smash Ryan Kasprzak, and choreographer and SAG Award-winning actor Susan Misner. The New York Series Dance Intensive consists of three two-hour classes taught individually by Gattelli, Kasprzak and Misner, and culminates in an hour-long panel discussion with them.
