Considered one of Broadway's all-time triumphs, Gypsy sets the memoirs of entertainer Gypsy Rose Lee to music, telling the story of ambitious showbiz mother Rose, who travels across the country in the 20's and 30's with her daughters June and Louise, in search of success with their homespun act. Directed by Valley favorite, Rusty Ferracane, Gypsy features many of the best-loved songs in the entire musical theater canon: 'Some People,' 'Let Me Entertain You,' 'Together (Wherever We Go),' 'Everything's Coming Up Roses,' and 'Rose's Turn.'

Gypsy takes us back to the 1920's and 30's, a pivotal time for performing arts in America, when the vaudeville circuit was dying and audience tastes were changing. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts has unveiled its 2016-17 season of music, dance, theater, comedy and more. The Center's star-studded lineup spans virtually every genre of the performing arts and highlights talent from around the globe, including Australia, Canada, Cuba, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Additional events will be announced later in the summer.
