The Jewish Museum is presenting The Pop Ups - Radio Jungle, a concert for families on Sunday, February 3 at 2:00 pm. Concert attendees will enjoy a musical romp set in an imaginary world of mermaids, treasure maps, gigantic crayons and glowing constellations brought to life through cardboard props, hand-painted sets, and a colorful cast of original puppets. Featured songs are from The Pop Ups' new album, Radio Jungle, nominated for a 2013 GRAMMY Award for Best Children's Album. This program is recommended for children ages 2 to 7.
The Berger Performing Arts Center presents CONFIDENTIALLY, CHAIKOVSKI, written by Harry Clark and directed by Troy Hollar. This production, starring Michael Learned (The Sisters Rosensweig, The Outgoing Tide) and Richard Thomas (Enemy of the People, Race), theatrically reunites the famous TV mother and son for the first time since The Waltons.

Beginning January 29, The Jewish Museum will present Music Off the Wall, a new music and art series for toddlers on eight Tuesdays from 9:45 to 10:30 am. Led by musician and museum educator Mark Dzula, leader of the innovative and one-of-a-kind kid's band Jukebox Radio, this series offers a hip and playful blend of looking at art through a musical lens. Toddlers and their adult companions can discover fun ways to explore the Museum's galleries together through song, movement and hands-on activities. This series is designed for children ages 2 to 3.

Today in 1972, Pippin opened at the Imperial Theatre, where it ran for 1944 performances. Pippin is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Bob Fosse, who directed the original Broadway production, also contributed to the libretto. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious acting troupe, led by a Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance.
