Kellie Overbey, Quentin Mare and More Set for SLEEPING ROUGH Off-Broadway

Casting has been announced for the world-premiere of Kara Manning's play SLEEPING ROUGH, directed by Tony Award nominee Sam Buntrock and presented Off-Broadway at the Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street) by Page 73 Productions, currently celebrating its 15th season presenting works by up-and-coming playwrights in New York. Performances of SLEEPING ROUGH will begin April 3 prior to an official press opening of April 11. Tickets for SLEEPING ROUGH are now on sale.

Kim Gyngell to Star in Perth Theatre Company's A NUMBER 4/11-27

Australian comedian and award-winning actor Kim Gyngell (The Comedy Company, Underbelly, Lowdown) will make his Western Australian stage debut for Perth Theatre Company in the WA premiere of British play, A Number by Caryl Churchill in the Studio Underground from 11 to 27 April 2013.

Know Theatre Announces COCK by Mike Bartlett, 4/12-5/11

Know Theatre is thrilled to announce the regional premiere of COCK by Mike Bartlett as our next mainstage production. This will be only the second American production following its premiere at the Royal Court Theatre, London. COCK opens April 12, 2013 and runs through May 11, 2013. Brian Robertson, who currently teaches in the Theatre and Dance Department at Northern Kentucky University, will direct this production. Some of his past directing credits include Camelot at the Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center and A Flowering Tree at Cincinnati Opera. Casting is currently underway and will be announced shortly.

Aurora Theatre Company Presents THE ARSONISTS, 4/5-5/12

What is the great evil we are failing to face up to today? Award-winning Bay Area auteur Mark Jackson (Salomania, Metamorphosis, Salome, Miss Julie) returns to Aurora Theatre Company to direct British playwright Alistair Beaton's elegant new translation of THE ARSONISTS, Max Frisch's classic comic parable about appeasement (sometimes known as Beidermann and the Firebugs or Fire Raisers). Featuring Dan Hiatt, Tim Kniffin, and Michael Ray Wisely, along with Kevin Clarke, Tristan Cunningham, Gwen Loeb, Dina Percia, and Michael Uy Kelly, THE ARSONISTS plays April 5 through May 12 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. NEVA Begins Previews at the Public Theater, 3/1

The Public Theater will begin previews for the English language premiere of NEVA, written and directed by Guillermo Calderon, on Friday, March 1. NEVA will run through Sunday, March 31 in The Public's Anspacher, with an official press opening on Monday, March 11. Guillermo Calderon's criticaly acclaimed production, DICIEMBRE, was seen as part of The Public's 2011 Under the Radar Festival.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) brings Neil Simon's comic masterpiece about show business, friendship and growing old, 'The Sunshine Boys' to Arizona audiences. David Ira Goldstein directs one of Neil Simon's most beloved and acclaimed plays in ATC's new production that will premiere in Tucson for three weeks of performances and continue to Phoenix for an additional three weeks. ATC's 'The Sunshine Boys' opens at the Temple of Music and Art, running from March 2, 2013 through March 23, 2013. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from March 28, 2013 through April 14, 2013.

Flashpoint Theatre Company dives deep into their 2012-2013 season, titled XX, as the company presents the World Premiere of Megan Mostyn-Brown's The Bends. Flashpoint is setting out to explore the lives and issues women face this season and The Bends is an explosive way to kick the theme off. The Bends follows the company's holiday show and their Barrymore and Brown Martin Award winning World Premiere of Slip/Shot. The show runs March 13-March 31 and opens Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15-$22. All shows will take place at the Off-Broad Street Theatre, 1636 Sansom Street.
