This deliciously goofy revue centers on four eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950?s on the way to their first big concert, and now miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.

During the 2013/14 Season an epic slate of personalities and productions awaits you on the Quadracci Powerhouse stage! The monumental, moving, and Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime gives us a glimpse at the early 20th century life of three distinct groups of people, while the side-splitting comedy, Noises Off, peeks behind the curtain at a group of struggling actors. The tumultuous final days of Judy Garland unfold before our eyes in End of the Rainbow, a single virtuoso artist will lead a blazing, contemporary retelling of a Homer classic in An Iliad, and the dynamic birth of Superman will be explored with The History of Invulnerability, forever changing the way we look at superheroes.

Paradise Theatre's 13th season continues with FOREVER PLAID by Stuart Ross, directed by Jeff Richards with musical direction by Vicki Knickerbocker and choreography by Vicki Richards. The show runs today, August 2-18, 2013, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 pm; Sundays at 3 pm. Special dinner theatre performance on August 17 at 6 PM.

Kaufman, Leueen MacGrath and Abe Burrows and music & lyrics by Cole Porter. Directed by Stuart Ross, and with music direction by David Snyder, the production will feature Erin Davie, Ben Davis, Erick Devine, Erica Dorfler, David Garrison, Leah Hocking, Andrew Kluger, Mark Price, Kilty Reidy, Danny Rutigliano, Alet Taylor, and Stephen Wallem. Cabrillo Music Theatre celebrates its 20th Anniversary in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza by proudly announcing its 2013-2014 Season of shows, produced exclusively in the Kavli Theatre, at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Fox Valley Repertory continues their 2013 theater series with the 1950's with Stuart Ross's hit, Forever Plaid. Directed by Brandon Bruce with Music Direction by Jeffrey Poindexter, performances will take place at the Pheasant Run Resort Mainstage on March 28 through May 19, 2013 (4051 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL; box office 630-584-6342).

York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) has announced principal casting for the remaining three musicals in its Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series: Hollywood Pinafore (March 1-3, 2013), Happy Hunting (March 15-17, 2013), and Silk Stockings (March 22-24, 2013) at York Theatre Company at its home in Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

In honor of comedy legend Carl Reiner's 75 years in the business, Center Theatre Group presented a staged reading of 'Enter Laughing, The Musical,' which is inspired by Reiner's experiences as a young man struggling to break into theatre in New York. The one night only event directed by Stuart Ross ('Forever Plaid'), was performed at the Mark Taper Forum on Monday, January 28, 2013.

This was not my first venture into the world of "Plaid" - I have seen the show over a dozen times over the past two decades, have directed it on multiple occasions and have the book and score pretty well etched on my brain. However, I will say that it was one of the best PLAID productions I have ever seen and, if you are in the vicinity of Palm Desert and The McCallum Theatre, it is not to be missed. FOREVER PLAID is really a near-perfect little musical with a wonderful score of 50's standards and clever dialogue and comedic bits that never grow old, if executed well. This incarnation of PLAIDS - Roger Befelor, Stan Chandler, David Engel and David Humphrey did just that. (Both Chandler and Engel starred in the original Off-Broadway production). The program gave no credit to a director, only that it was originally directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross, but whomever was at the helm delivered a spot on production!

The next production in Town Hall Arts Center's 2012-2013 Season will be Forever Plaid, book by Stuart Ross. This musical is directed and choreographed by Nick Sugar and has musical direction by Donna Kolpan Debreceni.
