The Great American Songbook Foundation has hired a new professional to oversee its vast and growing historical collections that preserve and tell the story of classic popular music.

The star crossed lovers – Romeo (Nikita Burshteyn) and Bernadette (Anna Kostakis) were reunited this week for the first time in 2 years when they met with the show’s director/choreographer Justin Ross Cohen for a photo shoot in anticipation of the show’s return.  Check out the fun video!

Pacific Symphony presents “The Langston Hughes Project,” a multimedia concert performance of the poet's jazz poem suite titled, Ask Your Mama: Twelve Moods for Jazz. This is Hughes' homage in verse and music to the struggle for artistic and social freedom at home and abroad at the beginning of the 1960s.

Dallas legend Patrick Duffy (The Man from Atlantis, Step by Step) and Linda Purl (Happy Days, Homeland) fly in from Hollywood to star alongside Gray O’ Brien (Peak Practice, Coronation Street), leading the cast in an exciting new production of the classic Broadway thriller Catch Me If You Can.

The Birdland Theatre and Jazz Club has an abundance of performances happening from January 31st through February 13th. Artists appearing at Birdland Jazz Club include John Pizzarelli Swing Seven, SUNY Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra, Greg Abate Quartet, John Pizzarelli Trio and Svetlana's Big Band. 

The program features the technically brilliant, classical work Within the Golden Raga, choreographed by Kunal Ranchod; the contemporary work, infused with sultry Argentine tango, Cuatro Estaciones, choreographed by Ballet Kelowna’s own Artistic Director and CEO Simone Orlando; and the uplifting and joyful MAMBO, choreographed by Alysa Pires.

Returning for the sixth season, Repertory Dance Theatre presents an evening of choreography by the RDT dancers and Artistic Staff, along with the winner of REGALIA 2021. EMERGE: SOUNDS DELIGHTFUL, presented in the Leona Wagner Black Box Theatre, will feature all-new choreography using lively and upbeat music from the 1930s and 40s. 

The magical time is back with A Nevada Room Christmas paying homage to the movie White Christmas complete with a delicious holiday meal (with vegan option). Rotating cast members will add their particular interpretations during A Nevada Room Christmas' run through Dec. 26.
