Actors Theatre Opens 2012-13 Season With THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS, 9/21

Apple junkie Mike Daisey's controversial first-person retelling of stories from the Foxconn factory in China where most of the world's electronic gadgets are produced, The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, will open Actors Theatre's 2012-13 season, Sept. 21 to Oct. 7, on Stage West of the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.

Actors Theatre's 2012-13 season brings five plays to Stage West at The Herberger Theater Center beginning with Mike Daisey's controversial The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs (Sept. 21-Oct. 7) and ending with the critically acclaimed Good People (May 3-19) by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire.

With the community helping Actors Theatre reach the first of three critical fund-raising deadlines allowing the company to continue operating at least through mid-January, Ron May, founding artistic director of Stray Cat Theatre, will direct 'Hunter Gatherers' on Stage West at the Herberger Theater from Dec. 30 through Jan. 15.
