Nearly six decades into her career, Academy Award-winning singer and actress Shirley Jones makes her Cafe Carlyle debut with a two-week run of An Evening with Shirley Jones, March 4-15. Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-winner John McDaniel (Annie Get Your Gun, Patti Lupone: Live!, The Rosie O'Donnell Show) will serve as Music director and will accompany her on piano March 4-8; actor-composer Ron Abel (Happily Divorced, I Love Lucy's 50th Anniversary Special) will take his place for the performances March 11-15. She'll perform the songs of Rogers, Hammerstein and Hart.

On Monday, January 26, the Broadway at Birdland concert series hosted another evening of Jamie deRoy & Friends on the historic stage. Jamie and her guests Dee Snider, Beth Leavel, Isabel Keating, Patrick Paige, Kevin Meaney, Clint Holmes, Michele Brourman, Matthew Stocke, Jeff Kready and Lauren Worsham sang, laughed, cavorted and dazzled the sold-out house. The Colony Theatre will present Stephanie Zimbalist starring in SEX AND EDUCATION, written by Lissa Levin and directed by Andrew Barnicle. SEX AND EDUCATION will preview on Wednesday, February 12; Thursday, February 13; and Friday, February 14 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, February 15 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 16 at the Colony Theatre, 555 N. January will certainly heat up when celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy brings a special edition of her Multi MAC Award-winning Variety Show, Jamie deRoy & friends, to Birdland (315 West 44th Street) on Monday, January 27th (7PM) for its acclaimed 'Broadway at Birdland Series.' Proceeds from the evening will benefit The Actors Fund.

Long time Friar Jamie deRoy brought her long running and hugely successful Jamie deRoy & friends variety show to the Milton Berle Room at the legendary Friars Club last night The friends in this addition of Jamie's show were Christina Bianco, Daisy Jopling, Reese Waters, Wade Preston, Penny Fuller and Anita Gillette. Ron Abel was music director and Barry Kleinbort directed.

Last night, Casey Nicholaw and Josh Marquette hosted a cocktail event to benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation at One Museum Mile (1280 Fifth Avenue). Attendees included Broadway luminaries Jeff Blumenkrantz, Danny Burstein, Carolee Carmello, Jeanine Tesori and Michael James Scott, and stars of HGTV's Selling New York Tom Postilio and Mickey Conlon. The event raised over $7,500 for the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

Maye performed a special one-night-only engagement at The Iridium on July 10. 'Maye Takes Five,' presented by The Iridium and ScoBar Entertainment, featured her trio (pianist/musical director Tedd Firth, bassist Tom Hubbard and drummer Ray Marchica) plus special guests including renowned clarinetist Ken Peplowski and noted trumpet man Brian Pareschi.
