Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Daryl Roth Productions, just announced the first?ever New York revival of Alfred Uhry and Robert Waldman's musical comedy THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM as part of the 50th Anniversary Season.

Mary Moody Northen Theatre, the award-winning producing arm of the St. Edward's University theatre training program, concludes its 2014-2015 season with The Robber Bridegroom, based on the novella by Eudora Welty, with book and lyrics by Alfred Uhry and music by Robert Waldman. The show runs tonight, April 16 - 26, 2015.

ANIKA LARSEN, the 2014 Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner currently starring on Broadway in Beautiful -- The Carole King Musical, will introduce her debut solo CD Sing you to Sleep with a special concert at Birdland Jazz Club as part of the 'Broadway at Birdland' series tonight, March 23 at 7:00 PM. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street in Manhattan.

New York Theatre Barn will release the new fully orchestrated demo recording of Small Town Story (formerly Speargrove Presents), a new musical commissioned by NYTB, in a concert sung by most of the demo cast and band at its signature new musical development platform NYTB in the D-Lounge on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre in New York City. The Dramatists Guild of America held their annual awards ceremony last evening at The Lambs Club in New York. The awards ceremony was hosted by Lisa Kron and featured a performance by Kenita Miller. BroadwayWorld has photos from the event below!

Andrea Marcovicci, the acclaimed singer and actress, has announced the release of her first CD of new material in five years, Smile, on her own label Andreasong. The new recoding her is based on her show of the same name that will be performed at New York's famed Cafe Carlyle from October 2 to 27 after hit runs in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.
