Steppenwolf Presents FIRST LOOK REPERTORY OF NEW WORK, 10/27-11/14

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents its 6th annual First Look Repertory of New Work-three developmental productions of new plays presented in rotating repertory playing October 27 - November 14, 2010 in Steppenwolf's Merle Reskin Garage Theatre, 1624 N. Halsted St. The 2010 festival will also include three free readings by emerging playwrights presented November 5-7, 2010. Tickets for all productions are currently on-sale.

Single Tix Now On Sale For IN THE NEXT ROOM, OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY

Single tickets are now on sale for 2010 Tony-nominated, and Pulitzer Prize-finalist, In the Next Room, or the vibrator play, written by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Aaron Posner. The show runs Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm from August 23 - September 19 on the Woolly Mammoth Mainstage.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Names Jenny Gersten New Artisitc Director

Williamstown Theatre Festival (Nicholas Martin, Artistic Director; Joe Finnegan, General Manager) announced today that Jenny Gersten has been named the company's new Artistic Director. Gersten will succeed current Artistic Director Nicholas Martin, who will depart after the upcoming 2010 summer season.

A.C.T.'s RIOT Plays Zeum Theater, 4/1-4/17

The A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory present the world premiere production of Riot, celebrated Irish playwright Ursula Rani Sarma's hard-hitting play, in the newest commission from A.C.T.'s international partnership with Britain's Theatre Royal Bath. Directed by Young Conservatory Director Craig Slaight and featuring young actors from the A.C.T. M.F.A. Program and Young Conservatory, Riot follows the story of a young man who lands in a residency clinic for emotionally disturbed teens following an unexpected act of violence. Riot weaves Max's relationships with his fellow patients, his doctor, and his nurses into a moving portrait of the deep human need for connection. The show plays April 1-17, 2010, at Zeum Theater, located at Yerba Buena Gardens (Fourth and Howard streets). Tickets are $15.50-$20.50 and are available by calling A.C.T.
