Single tickets are now on sale for 2010 Tony-nominated, and Pulitzer Prize-finalist, In the Next Room, or the vibrator play, written by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Aaron Posner. The show runs Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm from August 23 - September 19 on the Woolly Mammoth Mainstage. August 23 & 24 will be Pay-What-You-Can performances and will begin at 8pm. At the dawn of the electrical age, a new medical device is developed to pacify "hysterical" women, but it produces a shockingly different result. Each play samples a different flavor of American civilization-and its most uncivilized desires. From our fetish for youth and beauty to our obsessions with sex and race, these daring shows confront all that we repress and all that we reveal.
