The producers of The Book of Mormon, and The Nederlander Organization, announced today that due to popular demand, eight additional weeks of performances will be added through May 11, 2014 at Hollywood Pantages.

The producers of the national tour of the THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announced today that single tickets will go on sale Dec. 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. PT. An exclusive pre-sale for American Express Cardmembers will begin at 10 AM on Dec. 11 thru Dec. 12 at 11:59 PM. THE BOOK OF MORMON will be back by popular demand for a limited engagement August 11-September 13, 2015 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Tickets go on sale for the general public today, Monday, November 25 at 10am, limit eight (8) per household.

El Capitan Theatre moviegoers will kick off holiday celebrations early with an exclusive advance engagement of Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'Frozen,' beginning five days before the film's nationwide release. El Capitan isfrozen over this holiday season, welcoming guests into a snow-covered wonderland-complete with ice-capped opera boxes and a flurry of snowflakes. 'Frozen' showings, which will run today, Nov. 22, 2013, to Jan. 5, 2014, will be preceded by ice carving performance artists on stage, as well as 'Frozen' characters Anna and Elsa in their first live-on-stage appearances.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the Broadway Tour, which begins November 27 at the SHN Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco and plays through January 19, 2014. In San Francisco, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number tickets available at $29 apiece.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Orlando, FL for the week ending November 10 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center grossing $1,717,047.50.

It's incredibly rare when I venture out to see a high school production, but Houston ISD's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) definitely piqued my interest when I saw they were producing AVENUE Q. First and foremost, I wanted to see how Jeff Whitty, Jeff Marx, and Robert Lopez's irreverent and controversial musical was adjusted for high school performers. Secondly, the kids at HSPVA are being trained to be professional theater's next generation of quality talent, so having the opportunity to see incredible kids perform is always intriguing as well. Needless to say, HSPVA's production of AVENUE Q is performed well, hysterical, and only mildly toned down from the original.
