After years of collaboration, Greenwich Theatre and Sell a Door Theatre Company have formally announced a partnership.
Sell a Door Theatre Company, who are based at Athelney House on Greenwich High Road, produced their first production - Shelagh Delaney's A Taste of Honey - at the theatre in Spring 2011. They have since gone on to produce a further nine productions at the theatre including their debut UK tour of Spring Awakening and their London revival of Alan Bennett's The History Boys. The two organisations have collaborated on a number of other productions, including Seussical at the Arts theatre in the West End, which had its debut London production over Christmas 2012. Sell a Door Theatre Company's new status as partner Theatre Company at Greenwich Theatre will formalise the company's annual season at the 400-seat venue, and continue to strengthen the work the two organisations produce together.
