KC Rep's World Premiere of A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL! Tops All Records

With final ticket sales tallied for A Christmas Story, The Musical!, Kansas City Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen, who also directed the record-breaking world premiere, has announced that the production earned $883,151.50 in gross revenue.

The producers of All About Me announced today that due to the late change in directors, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna's All About Me will begin previews at the Henry Miller's Theatre three days later than previously announced. All About Me's original director, Jerry Zaks, recently left the production to work as the head creative consultant on THE ADDAMS FAMILY, also heading to Broadway this spring. Casey Nicholaw stepped into fill Zak's shoes just a few weeks ago.

Directed by directed by Gregory Mosher, the production will open on Broadway at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) Sunday, January 24, 2010. A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE's Fontana Suffers On-Stage Concussion; Understudy Spector to Fill In

Just in is word that A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE's Santino Fontana (pictured), who suffered a minor concussion during a performance this past weekend has been temporarily replaced in the show by his understudy Morgan Spector. Fontana is out of the show on doctor's orders and is expected back as soon as possible. Spector, a graduate of Reed College and the American Conservatory Theatre MFA program is making his Broadway debut in the show. His previous theatre credits include Enemies: A Love Story at the Wilma Theater, Disney's The Lion King (national tour) and A Christmas Carol at ACT. His film and television credits include The Last Airbender, 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' and HBO's 'How to Make It in America.'

As previously reported, Michael Feinstein and Dame Edna have decided to collaborate on their upcoming show efforts and will jointly star in All About Me. The New York Times has reported today that All About Me shall run at the Golden Theater. Previews will begin on February 19 with an official opening night of March 18.
