The Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) continues its 24th Season with the 20th Anniversary production of Brian Friel's Tony Award-winning play DANCING AT LUGHNASA, with previews set to begin October 20 on the Irish Repertory's Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, prior to an official press opening October 30.

The day of July 10th, 1993 marks a special moment for Robert Charles Wilson. 50 years ago he enlisted to become a Marine at Montford Point. He proudly served his country in WWII at Iwo Jima and after exiting the service trained as a classical opera singer. But his only shortcoming in life was separating from his wife, Gwen, when she refused to chase his dream of becoming a famous singer. With their only son R.C. in town to celebrate the anniversary of his father's enlistment, this day brings a wave of memories back to Robert, along with a few unexpected turns in this World Premiere theatre event.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Theatre on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) is to tape the Irish Repertory Theatre's hit revival of George Bernard Shaw's CANDIDA on April 21. MC Squared Productions will present a return engagement of THE FUNERALOGUES, a site-specific look at eulogies and the people who deliver them. Conceived and performed by Stacy Mayer, written by playwright Robert Charles Gompers, and directed by Molly Marinik, this unique theatrical experience has found its ultimate home at All Souls Chapel on New Yorks' Upper East Side where it began performances in November 2008. This encore engagement runs January 16 - March 15.
